The Ercole I d'Este Tarot Deck features the heraldic devices of Ercole I d'Este and his wife, Leonora of Aragona. These include the Este Eagle and the distinctive vertical stripes of Aragon together with the fleur-de-lis that appear on the coat of arms of Ferdinand I of Naples, father of Leonora of Aragon. This leads me to the conclusion that the deck can be no earlier than the date of their wedding in 1473.
